APC Presidential Campaign Council launches structured dialogue with civil society groups to gather citizens’ feedback and policy recommendations.
The Directorate of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has unveiled plans to engage civil society organizations across the country as part of efforts to mobilize grassroots support and strengthen President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign.
The Directorate said the nationwide engagement would provide a platform for structured dialogue, consultations, and interactive discussions with CSOs on the achievements, policies, and manifesto of the Tinubu administration.
Speaking during a press briefing, the Directorate noted that Kaduna State had set the pace for the nationwide campaign following the successful APC presidential campaign flag-off held in the state last week.
It commended the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for providing leadership and laying a strong foundation for robust civic engagement and grassroots mobilization across the country.
The Directorate disclosed that the initiative was being undertaken under the leadership of the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, who had mandated it to engage civil society organizations nationwide.
According to the Directorate, the engagement would focus on communicating the President’s manifesto, highlighting the achievements and policies of his administration, and creating opportunities for citizens to express concerns and contribute to national policy discussions.
It further disclosed that a comprehensive mapping exercise of civil society organizations had been conducted to identify key actors, community-based organizations, and other non-state stakeholders operating at the national, zonal, state, local government, ward, and community levels.
The Directorate explained that identified organizations would be engaged through thematic discussions and policy dialogues covering governance, social inclusion, public accountability, sustainable development, human rights, and justice.
It emphasized that the consultations would be inclusive, allowing CSOs working across different sectors and communities to contribute their perspectives to the political and policy process.
A major component of the initiative, it said, would be the use of findings, citizens’ feedback, and recommendations from the engagements to shape and finalise President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election manifesto.
The Directorate said the submissions would be forwarded directly to the APC Policy and Manifesto Development Team for consideration.
The initiative is expected to deepen engagement between the APC Presidential Campaign Council and organized civil society, while providing a channel for citizens’ concerns, policy priorities, and grassroots perspectives to inform the president's re-election agenda.
